About Alan Mintz
I started painting when I was seven years old. I spent most of my free time exploring a lake surrounded by long- leaf pine forest and became a science minded child while trying to learn the names of all the life around me as well as trying to draw them.. I eventually read every science book at the town library and I also became a competent wildlife artist.
I have won juried art shows in Florida and North Carolina and have sold art at art festivals in the Florida Panhandle. My art is inspired by the landscapes and wildlife of the places I have lived; the western slope of Colorado, West Texas, the Florida Panhandle, Oklahoma and my home state of North Carolina.
